FAQ

Common questions, clear answers.

Still unsure which license fits your situation? Read through the most common questions — or reach out and we'll help you decide.

It depends on the license. The Desktop License is scoped to your own personal or internal use. If you're an agency delivering branded assets to multiple independent clients, each client generally needs their own license — or you'll want the Corporate License, which covers subsidiaries and approved vendors under one agreement.

Yes — each font family is licensed individually, and you select the license type(s) that match your intended use at checkout. The Corporate License, however, covers all fonts from Twinletter under a single umbrella agreement, making it the most cost-efficient option for organisations using multiple typefaces.

Printed materials made for internal or personal use fall under the Desktop License. Physical products intended for sale — packaging, merchandise, or print-on-demand items — need the Merchandise & POD License instead, which covers commercial print runs within its sales limit.

Websites need a Web Font License for @font-face embedding, while apps, games, and SaaS platforms need an App & Platform License. The Desktop License alone does not cover either. For multi-platform or enterprise deployment, the Corporate License provides the most comprehensive coverage.

All Twinletter licenses are one-time purchases with perpetual, lifetime validity. You are never charged again. There are no renewal fees, no annual subscription traps, and no expiry date. Your right to use the font in the scope covered at purchase remains valid indefinitely.

We encourage proactive regularisation. Contact us, explain your situation, and we will recommend the correct license(s) for your use case. Businesses that come forward voluntarily are handled with professionalism and goodwill — we far prefer to build a long-term relationship than pursue a legal dispute. Reach out before it becomes a problem.

Yes. The Corporate License covers your entire corporate entity — including subsidiaries, acquired brands, in-house design teams, and external agencies or freelancers working on your behalf. There is no per-user limit on the Unlimited tier, making it the only license suitable for multinational organisations.
